The Laboratory Colorimeter is an extremely accurate and reliable instrument for colorimetric analysis on powders and liquids in the laboratory. The USB 2.0 interface enables use in conjunction with EOPTIS software for comparative color analysis, classification, and color matching against database references.
CLM-196 features a compact stainless steel body that houses an advanced tristimulus sensor. The unique sample measurement mode and a resolution sixty times greater than the human eye make the CLM-196 colorimeter ideal for detecting the color of powders and liquids in demanding environments such as quality control laboratories in food processing industries, color measurement of regenerated plastic granules, pharmaceutical processing laboratories, and academic laboratories for research projects.
Thanks to its measurement geometry (45°c:0°) and the high uniformity of illumination ensured by the integrated LEDs, the CLM-196 ensures long-term stability and minimizes user calibration requirements. Over the years, a wide range of accessories has been developed to adapt the instrument to color measurement on transparent or semi-transparent liquids and on solid samples.
The instrument interfaces via USB port to a standard PC running Microsoft Windows. Thanks to the CLM19X Interface application software, included and freely installable, practical checks and analyses can be performed, such as:
- analyzing color differences with respect to a given reference, to determine whether the sample meets the required acceptance limits,
- classifying samples in a set, dividing them into groups of uniform color,
- searching for the best match for the measured sample in order to reproduce its color, searching for it within a library of reference colors.
Standard color databases are included in the software; in addition, users can independently create and manage custom color databases for their specific applications.
Measurement results can be exported in .PDF or .XML formats for further analysis.
